Technical Requirements for Online Courses
What software do I need to attend an online course?
Zoom
Courses are taught live via Zoom. We recommend that you download the Zoom app and create a free account before the class begins, so that you can use the full range of features:
You can create your free account here
You can download the Zoom app onto your computer or device here
You will also need a device with an internet browser such as Google Chrome or Firefox.
What hardware do I need?
We recommend that you view the course on a device with a large screen to be able to see what is demonstrated on screen. A tablet or computer/laptop screen is better than viewing on a phone.
Your device should also be able to run Zoom - see their requirements here.
Thinkific
Many, but not all, online courses are also recorded and shared via our online learning platform, Thinkific.
These recordings are available from the date of recording to three months after the course finishes.
Thinkific is also where you will find important information regarding your course including handouts, homework assignments and more.
